![]() Either way, I’m very excited to see what comes next. It could be that humanity tried to artificially harness the powers once given to Lumen Sages and Umbra Witches. If I had to guess, I would say that Viola is probably from a future where the Homunculi managed to destroy most of the world. There is also the problem of the Homunculi, experiments created by humans. We know how Bayonetta got to where she is now, but the events of both games will clearly have consequences for her when Bayonetta 3 rolls around. ![]() Either way, we’re in for an interesting experience when October 28 th rolls around. It could just be a stylistic choice and could have no bearing on the plot at all. With that being said, Viola’s hair could be a reference to Baldur from previous games. Does this mean we’re in for an alternate universe where Jeanne and Luka connected and had Viola together? The possibilities are truly endless. ![]() However, Jeanne has white hair, which is closer at least. The strange twist of it though is that neither Bayonetta nor Luka has blonde hair like Viola. This also happens to be what she also affectionately calls Luka. They cite Viola’s use of a grappling hook in the trailer, along with Viola summoning a demonic version of Bayonetta’s old cat toy called Cheshire. Specifically, speculation abounds that Viola could be the daughter of Bayonetta and Luka, the journalist who often flirts with Bayonetta in each game. In Devil May Cry 5 it is revealed that Nero is Vergil’s son, and I mention that because fans believe that Viola might be related to Bayonetta. The resemblance makes sense, they’re both younger protagonists that join up with the hero of each franchise. Viola has been jokingly referred to as “ Bayonetta 3’s Nero” referencing Nero from the Devil May Cry series. Well, some fans seem to think that the likelihood of that is relatively high, due to the new playable character Viola. Does this mean we’ll meet other versions of Luka, Rodin, or even Jeanne? Clearly, we’re dealing with a multiverse here, which is a really common theme right now. For more of the games coming out throughout the remainder of 2022, Shacknews has everything you need to know. However, the new trailer broke that theory wide open with the revelation that we will see not one, but multiple different Bayonettas over the course of Bayonetta 3. With Splatoon 3 launching in September and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet landing in November, Nintendo’s plans are beginning to crystallize. With Bayonetta 3 launching on October 28, it not only joins an increasingly crowded Fall slate, but it also falls perfectly into Nintendo’s release line-up for the remainder of 2022. With an October launch, Bayonetta 3 will hit that desired window. As Platinum Games worked behind the scenes to make it a reality, it wasn’t until 2021 that we got a meaningful new look at Bayonetta 3, which is when we also learned the game was targeting a 2022 release date. However, details on the project were few and far between after that. Bayonetta 3 will be released on October 28, 2022.īayonetta 3 was first announced back in 2017, less than a year after the Nintendo Switch launched. Most interestingly, the trailer features a second Bayonetta, teasing some sort of alternate version of the iconic witch. We also get some new story details, as the trailer introduces us to Viola, a character Nintendo describes as “a feisty new witch” that Bayonetta will come across during her journey. The trailer gives us our latest look at the ever-charming Bayonetta, as well as the demonic threats that she’ll find herself facing off against in the latest game. It was in a new gameplay trailer on the Nintendo YouTube channel that we learned Bayonetta 3 will be released on October 28, 2022. Nintendo has announced that Bayonetta will finally be released this October. Originally announced back in 2017 Bayonetta has been teasing an epic new story surrounding the beloved protagonist, and the wait to experience it won’t last much longer. For the past five years, Bayonetta fans have been patiently waiting for the next chapter in the franchise.
